Kimberly Newell, SHRM-CP

Kimberly Newell, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kimberly began their career in the United States Navy as a Damage Controlman from 1992 to 1996. After their military service, Kimberly worked as an Office Manager and Executive Assistant for the American Poolplayers Association of Connecticut from 1996 to 2000. Kimberly then transitioned to the education sector, where they served as an Executive Assistant at Granby Memorial High School from 2000 to 2002.

Following their time in education, Kimberly joined the Stark Truss Company, Inc. as an Office Manager from 2002 to 2012. In this role, they coordinated and supervised the daily operations of the administrative office, managed payroll and accounting functions, and oversaw recruitment and employee onboarding processes.

Kimberly then transitioned to the role of Human Resource Recruiter Generalist, where they are responsible for full life cycle recruiting, establishing positive relationships with community services and employment agencies, and developing and managing a college relations program.

Throughout their career, Kimberly has consistently thrived in positions that require strong communication, organization, and management skills.

Kimberly Newell, SHRM-CP, holds a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Western Kentucky University. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained several certifications. Kimberly is a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter from AIRS, an ADP company, which they achieved in March 2023. Kimberly is also a SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and obtained this certification from SHRM in December 2019.
