Ashley Engles-Ross has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Ashley is currently the Vice President of Small Business at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, a position they have held since 2022.
Prior to this, Ashley worked at the Huntsville Botanical Garden from 2017 to 2022. During their time there, they served as the Director of Institutional Giving and was responsible for establishing fundraising goals and strategies, managing donor relationships, and engaging senior staff and the Board of Directors in institutional funding strategy.
Before joining the Huntsville Botanical Garden, Ashley worked at Quantum Research International from 2015 to 2017 as an Executive Assistant. In this role, they managed strategic planning and maintained records for ISO certification, processed non-disclosure and teaming agreements, and maintained databases.
Ashley also has experience in volunteer positions. Ashley served as the Past President of the Redstone Arsenal Community Women's Club in 2014-2015, where they effectively communicated objectives and coordinated events and activities. Ashley also worked as a Community Liaison at Operation Homefront from 2011 to 2013, where they coordinated special events, developed relationships with clients and volunteers, and raised funds for the organization.
Earlier in their career, Ashley worked as a Program Administrator at the Institute for Policy and Economic Development at the University of Texas at El Paso from 2005 to 2007. Ashley oversaw evaluation programs and managed data collection and sharing among agency partners. Ashley also worked as a Regional Coordinator at the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs from 2000 to 2003, where they represented the HOME program and provided grant application and implementation presentations.
Ashley's career began at the International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC) as a Clerk/Policy Fellow from 1998 to 2000. In this role, they coordinated a binational environmental symposium and handled logistical aspects of the event.
Overall, Ashley Engles-Ross has a strong background in fundraising, program management, strategic planning, and community engagement, with experience in both the non-profit and government sectors.
Ashley Engles-Ross completed their Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) from the University of Pittsburgh between 1994 and 1996. Ashley then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration from The University of Texas at El Paso from 1998 to 2000.
