Huron River Watershed Council
Jason Frenzel has over two decades of experience in community engagement and environmental conservation. Currently serving as the Community Engagement Director at Huron River Watershed Council since March 2011, Jason leads efforts to enhance human resource capacity, diversify engagement, and empower local communities for the betterment of the Huron River and its surroundings. Prior to this role, experience includes serving as the Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator for the City of Ann Arbor from December 2001 to March 2011, and as a Groundwater Technician at Washtenaw County Conservation District from 1999 to 2001, where collaboration with local farmers promoted environmentally friendly agricultural practices. Additionally, Jason worked as an Assistant Inspector at Washtenaw County Road Commission from 1994 to 1996, conducting aggregate and density testing to ensure compliance with design standards. Jason holds a degree from Michigan State University.
