Erik Karasyk

Technical Partner at Hush Studios

Erik Karasyk is a partner at Hush Studios. Erik has over fifteen years of experience in the field of animation and design.

Erik started their career as a freelance director and animator in 2000. Erik then worked as an interactive and motion graphics designer at Tronic from 2002 to 2003. In 2003, they joined forces with Nike as a contractor, where they created animations and designs for many of their products. Erik helped the Nike+ team create content visualizing what wearable sport technology means for their 'everyday' athletes. Erik also worked on the debuts of Nike Pro Combat, AirMax360, Nike Plus, Force, & Brazillian Joga Bonito. Erik left Nike in 2006 to work as a contractor at Brand New School, where they provided VFX supervision, design, and 3D/2D animation services.

In 2007, Erik became a partner at Heavy, where they oversaw the company's interactive and motion graphics design projects. Erik then joined Hush Studios in 2010, where they have been working as a partner ever since.

Erik Karasyk is an MFA graduate of the Computer Animation program at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Erik also holds a degree from the University of Vermont, and is a certified PADI diver.

They work with Athena Diaconis - Director, Strategy, Tonian Irving - Executive Producer, and David Schwarz - Partner. Erik Karasyk reports to Kristen Koeller, Managing Partner.
