Qian Cai

Hardware Team Lead at Husky Robotics

Qian Cai is currently the Hardware Team Lead and a Hardware Team Member at Husky Robotics, focusing on developing and optimizing electronic hardware for Mars rover competitions. Responsibilities include designing a PCB motor controller for a brushless direct current motor and using Altium Designer for schematics and PCB layout. Additionally, Qian serves as an Undergraduate Research Associate in the BioRobotics Lab at the University of Washington, working on the "Smart" Grasper and programming devices to control sensors. Previous internships include a Hardware Engineer role at Juniper Networks and an Embedded System Engineer position at O-Film Technology, where Qian tested and optimized PCBs for self-driving vehicles. Qian has been a member of the Structure Team at the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington.
