Mel Whiteside

Mel Whiteside currently serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Hutchinson Community College since July 2024. Previously, Mel held the position of Dean at Butler Community College from November 2015 to January 2023, where leadership and support for faculty, staff, and students was emphasized to foster their growth. With extensive experience in both higher education and training development, Mel has worked at FlightSafety International in multiple roles, including Program Revisions Manager, and contributed to curriculum development at Wichita State University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Career and Technical Education from Ball State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Tabor College.
