With extensive experience in the logistics and transport sector, Daniël has held leadership roles such as General Manager of Inland Terminals at ECT Rotterdam and interim Managing Director positions at Hutchison Ports Duisburg and Hutchison Ports Venlo. Daniël is also a Board Member of Supply Chain Valley, focusing on infrastructure and mobility within the North Limburg region. Education includes a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology and certifications in project management.

Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam is one of the leading and most advanced container terminal operator in Europe. The company handles a majority of the containers at the port of Rotterdam. ECT operates two terminals to this extent: the Hutchison Ports ECT Delta and the Hutchison Ports ECT Euromax at the Maasvlakte (directly on the North Sea). European Gateway Services is a part of ECT Rotterdam, and offers its clients an extended network of inland terminals and extended gates that are connected to the deepsea terminals in Rotterdam through high-frequency rail and inland shipping services. Extra services are added to these efficient connections, especially in the area of customs clearance.
