Syed Arif Sayeed is an accomplished maritime and port management professional with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as Managing Director at Hutchison Ports since August 2016, Sayeed is focused on revitalizing the Port of Basra and managing its only purpose-built container terminal. Previous roles include CEO at Mackinnons, Chief Operating Officer at DP World, and Terminal Manager at KGL Ports International, where responsibilities encompassed terminal operations, engineering, and financial management. Sayeed's career began at Gulfeast Shipmanagement and has been supported by a strong educational background in Nautical Science, holding multiple degrees from South Tyneside College and Riversdale College Liverpool.
