Hamish Bell

Hamish Bell possesses a diverse background in public service and communications, currently serving as an Advisor for Water Services at Hutt City Council since October 2022, while also supporting elected members. Prior experience includes roles as a Private Secretary for Rino Tirikatene and Dr. Deborah Russell at the Department of Internal Affairs, and as a Parliamentary Executive Assistant to Greg O'Connor MP. Hamish has experience in the non-profit sector with the New Zealand Red Cross, managing fundraising programs, and in marketing with St John New Zealand, overseeing various campaigns and customer retention initiatives. Hamish began a career in communications with an internship at Palmerston North City Council, developing a social media strategy. Educational qualifications include a degree in Communication from Massey University and attendance at Napier Boys High School.
