Jarred Griffiths

Jarred Griffiths is an experienced professional in strategic communications and engagement, currently serving as the Director of Strategy and Engagement at Hutt City Council since November 2019, where responsibilities have included oversight as Head of Communications and Engagement and Head of the Mayor’s Office. Prior to this role, Jarred operated as a self-employed communications contractor and held positions at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment as a Principal Engagement and Communications Advisor, and the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) as a Ministerial Advisor to the Minister of Health. Additional experience includes a role as a Graduate Solicitor at Gallaway Cook Allan Lawyers and providing support in policy, research, and communications at New Zealand Parliament. Jarred holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of Otago, along with a qualification in Professional Legal Studies from The College of Law Australia.
