Anthony Seyfort

Anthony’s practice combines a wealth of experience in commercial and administrative law and practical experience with regulators and industry regulation. His expertise encompasses public law, complex corporate law and competition law.

Anthony focuses on governance, transactions and strategic advice for government and regulated industries, and on business dealings between them. He represents clients in dealings with governments and regulators in relation to policy, regulatory change, approvals and negotiated outcomes. He advises on strategies for the management of regulatory risk.

Anthony has been named in Best LawyersTM Australia for Gaming Law and is also recognised as a leading Corporate lawyer in Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Doyle’s Guide, and Chambers and Partners.

He has a large amount of “client” experience, as a former company secretary of a top-100 ASX listed company, a director, an audit committee member, an economic researcher and currently as local agent for a European financial institution. Anthony is the President of the Victorian Government’s Health Services Review Council, was State Chairman of the Governance Institute of Australia and is an office-bearer or adviser with various industry associations including the Financial Services Council.
