Brit has 25 years experience as a litigation lawyer, specifically in the areas of health and aged care law, medical negligence/malpractice and insurance law.

Brit acts for medical defence organisations and insurers, health practitioners and various allied health professionals, private hospitals, aged care facilities and other health facilities in both litigated and non-litigated matters. She also advises health and aged care clients in relation to privacy issues, HCCC and APHRA complaints, coronial investigations, inquiries, royal commissions, compliance and risk management, product liability claims, as well as assisting health care professionals with respect to professional conduct investigations, hospital investigations, disciplinary proceedings (including before NCAT), mandatory reporting and College disputes.

Brit has been listed in Best Lawyers™ Australia for Health & Aged Care Law, Insurance Law and Medical Negligence every year since 2013. Additionally, Brit has been named “Lawyer of the Year” for Health and Aged Care Law by Best Lawyers™ Australia 2018 edition. Brit has also been recognised in the Doyle’s Guide as a preeminent and leading Medical Negligence Lawyer in NSW. Brit is a committee member of the Medico-Legal Society of NSW and member of the Adventist Healthcare Human Research Ethics Committee.
