Timothy Deckert

COO & EVP at HX5

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Deckert’s career has been dedicated to the professional Engineering, R&D, and Technical services industry directly supporting the US Department of Defense and other federal agencies. Throughout his career, he has held senior level leadership positions, being responsible for making and executing executive-level company policy, as well as having held functional technical and engineering positions supporting a variety of federal program environments and involving supercomputing architectures, high performance visualization systems, and other highly specialized defense related systems and programs.

Dr. Deckert holds Ph.D., MBA, and B.S. degrees. Dr. Deckert has served as an adjunct Computer Science Faculty member at the University of West Florida and as an adjunct Assistant Professor in the Graduate Technical Management program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

As Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of HX5, Dr. Deckert is responsible for taking an active and leading role in contributing and assisting in all areas of responsibility across the company's operations on a daily basis. He has the responsibility for ensuring technical, financial, business, and administrative support services fundamental to both the conduct of the company’s operations and the achievement of its operational and financial objectives are provided for and carried out effectively and efficiently. He has the responsibility for ensuring the successful development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and control of essential business, information, and operations support systems, while leading, guiding, and directing the management team responsible for all departments. He has responsibility for providing effective management and leadership in a multi-faceted work environment, comprised of both management and operational elements, using the ability to assimilate, evaluate, and correlate associated risk/benefit trade-offs and their relative impact on affected departments or capabilities. He is responsible for ensuring accurate appraisal, interpretation, and analysis of organizational goals and results, while also providing analyses, interpretation, and justification of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans. An integral part of this responsibility includes the development of sound business initiatives to align with HX5’s strategic long-term goals, combined with efficient and effective pricing policies that best support HX5’s government customers’ mission and financial needs.
