Matthew Goldstein has a diverse work experience in venture capital and board of directors roles. From 2016 to present, they have been Managing Director of M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund, where they have been involved in exits such as Kahoot (IPO), SuperAwesome (acquired by Epic), Nanofabrica (acquired by NNDM), Dynamic Signal (acquired by Sumeru Equity), Markforged (NYSE: MKFG), Bakkt (NYSE: BKKT), and Vertical Aerospace (NYSE: EVTL). Matthew has also been involved in investments in Hyas, Outreach, Nautilus Labs, Loggi, Beamery, and Cooler Screens. In 2018, they joined the board of directors of HYAS, and in 2019 they joined the board of directors of Nautilus Labs. In 2021, they joined the board of directors of Palm NFT Studio and Cooler Screens Inc. Matthew is also an advisor for Systemiq Capital since 2022, a Non Executive Director for a Stealth Data Analytics Startup since 2020, and a Non Executive Director for Vertical Aerospace since 2021.

Matthew Goldstein attended Pomona College, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations. Matthew then went on to Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they earned their Master of Business Administration. In March 2021, they also obtained a Non-Executive Director Course certification from the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA).
