Chris Jones ACMA CGMA

Chris Jones ACMA CGMA has over 40 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. Chris began their career in 1979 in various manufacturing positions, including progressive accounting and financial controller roles. In 1987, they became Finance Director and General Manager of Stansells Ltd, where they implemented a computerised accounting and costing system. Chris then moved to Berkeley Homes in 1988 as Commercial Director, responsible for operational, organisational and accounting matters. From 1990 to 1995, they were Finance Director and Senior Management at Wickes Plc, where they were seconded to diverse troubleshooting roles. Chris then moved to Finnforest in 1995 as Site General Manager, where they lowered working capital by £1.7m and improved trading by £1.3m. In 1997, they became Finance/Production Director and Company Secretary at Drings of Bath Plc, where they were headhunted to control and coordinate cultural change from a family business to an AIM listed plc. From 1998 to 2000, they were Director of Milehall Ltd, an interim financial management project cover and non-executive director services company. In 2011, they became Vice President of Strategic Accounts at QuEST Global, and in 2013 they became VP & Head of Aerospace & Defence EMEIA and Global Industry Lead for Aerospace & Defence at Cyient. In 2016, they became Director of KCK Support Services Limited and Techmodal Ltd, and Project Director at iAero. Since 2019, they have been Finance Director and Interim Finance Director at Hybrid Air Vehicles Ltd.

Chris Jones attended St Bridgets from 1965 to 1971, Cowley Boys Grammar School St Helens from 1974 to 1978, and the University of Liverpool from 1978 to 1980. In addition, they hold the ACMA CGMA certification from THE CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTS.
