Joseph Craven has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Joseph started their career at GDS International, where they held the positions of Director of Finance & Operations and later General Manager, overseeing the transition of the company from a magazine publisher to a conference and events business.

Joseph then joined Barnes & Noble, Inc., where they served as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, conducting profitability analysis and implementing measures to improve the financial performance of the publishing division. Joseph later became Vice President of Sales & Business Development, responsible for sales to various channels and leading the company's expansion into non-core markets.

Joseph also worked at The Quarto Group as Director of Group Development, where they played a key role in the merger of two publishing businesses and spearheaded the digitization of content for e-books and vertical websites. Joseph later became the Executive Director for the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region, where they developed and executed strategies to dispose of non-core businesses and managed a direct-to-consumer retail/franchise business.

Joseph briefly worked as a Management Consultant at Aramex before returning to Barnes & Noble, Inc. as Director of Corporate Development, overseeing another merger and leading the integration of IT systems, data management, and organizational restructuring.

Most recently, Joseph served as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region at Hybrid, a position they held until June 2021. Joseph was responsible for overseeing global finance and operations, along with executive leadership duties.

Joseph Craven completed their high school education at Brisbane Grammar School from 1988 to 1992, earning a High School Certificate. Joseph then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from UNSW from 1995 to 2000. Joseph'seducation continued at Baruch College from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance.
