Cortez A. Carter

Cortez A. Carter has held various high-level positions throughout their career. Cortez A. is currently serving as the Executive Vice President at Hyde Park Hospitality, LLC, where they oversee food and facility service operations in multiple cities. Prior to this, they were the President & CEO of Axiom Development & Consulting, providing consultative services for airports and aviation-related real estate interests.

Carter also has a strong background in airport management, having served as the Deputy General Manager at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. In this role, they led the non-traditional commercial division and was responsible for developing commercial districts and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders.

Before their time at the Atlanta airport, Carter worked as the Vice President of Business Development at SSP America, the world's largest airport food & beverage concessions company. Cortez A. also held positions at the Chicago Department of Aviation, Quest Development Group, Harris Bank, Bank One, and the Office of the City Treasurer in Chicago, where they focused on real estate financing, community development, and economic development initiatives.

Cortez A. Carter, IAP has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Industrial/Organizational Development from the University of Illinois Chicago, which was obtained from 1985 to 1989. In 2017, they completed the Airport Executive Leadership Programme (AELP) Certificate at Concordia University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as International Airport Professional #IAP01525 from Airports Council International - North America (ACI) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 2017, Instrument-Rated Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2005, and Certificated Private Pilot (1,600 hours) from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2003.
