Gretchen Sterba

Gretchen Sterba is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in writing, social marketing, and education. Currently serving as Communications Manager at Hyde Park School of Dance, Gretchen has a strong background in content creation for PR, marketing, and social media. Previous roles include Director of Social Marketing & Brand Communications at Working in the Schools, and participation in the Racial Justice Writers' Room Cohort at Chicago Reader. Gretchen has contributed as a writer for South Side Weekly and Static Media, while also working as a Teaching Artist at 826CHI. With a Bachelor of Arts in Magazine Journalism and Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago and a Master of Education from Roosevelt University, Gretchen has developed a unique blend of skills in journalism, education, and community engagement.
