Jo Borck

Jo leads all technical operations at Hydra Energy and brings 30+ years of experience in hydrogen systems engineering. In the past, Jo co-founded General Hydrogen, where he worked on developing hydrogen fuel cell technology for industrial forklifts.

Jo pioneered the deployment of the world’s first fuel cell bus over the course of his 20 year career. In partnership with Dr. Cliff Ricketts at Middle Tennessee State University, he once modified a Toyota Tercel to drive 500 miles across Tennessee, using only sun and water-derived hydrogen for fuel.
