Scott McKaig JD, MBA, CMA has over 12 years of professional experience. Scott began their career in 2008 as an Attorney/Consultant/Strategist for The McKaig Law Firm. In 2014, they moved to Novella Clinical, Inc. as a Proposals and Contracts Associate. In 2015, they worked as a Legal Specialist for the North Carolina Department of Commerce and a Community Development Specialist for the Governor's Crime Commission. The following year, they joined the North Carolina Department of Information Technology as a Contracting Officer/Strategic Sourcing Specialist and Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative. In 2017, they took on an Adjunct Professor role at Wake Tech Community College - Business Analytics. In 2018, they joined Lincoln Network as the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel. In 2021, they became the CFO and General Counsel of Fabius Labs and the Vice President Finance of Hydra Host.

Scott McKaig obtained their High School Diploma from East Wake High School in 2001. Scott then attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where they obtained a BA in English and Political Science in 2004. From 2005 to 2008, they attended Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where they obtained a JD in Law. During this time, they also attended Campbell University, The Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, where they obtained an MBA in Business Administration in 2008. In April 2022, they obtained a Certified Management Accountant: CMA® certification.
