Galen Trostle is a skilled engineer with a diverse background in mechanical and production engineering. Currently serving as a Project Engineer in the Systems Group at Hydra-Power Systems, Inc. since August 2022, Galen specializes in hydraulic manifold design and engineering. Previously, Galen worked as a Production Engineer at Oregon Physics, focusing on ion- and electron-beam technology, where responsibilities included testing, validation, data analysis, and mechanical design. Experience as an Energy Efficiency Engineer at Ridgeline Energy Analytics involved data collection and cataloging building systems. A Senior Capstone Project at Portland State University, in collaboration with Intel, featured the design of low-profile actuators using shape memory alloy. Early career roles included internships at MKE Associates, where Galen assisted in sizing commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, and GuildWorks, leading safety-critical rigging projects. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Reed College.
