Dr Don Thomson Gtlp

Dr. Don Thomson GTLP is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in social impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, and natural resource management. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Hydro Tasmania since July 2022, Dr. Thomson also holds the position of Director at Landscape & Social Research Pty Ltd, where a diverse range of projects for clients such as Land & Water Australia and various government departments have been successfully completed. Previous roles include CEO and Founder of Co-Design Lab Tasmania, Principal Consultant at Clear Horizon Consulting, and Project Manager at Wellington Park Management Trust. Dr. Thomson’s academic credentials include a PhD in Rural Sociology from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Hons) from RMIT University. Additionally, Dr. Thomson has experience in agriculture as the owner of BLACK RIDGE FARM, which specialized in free-range livestock production.
