James Head-Mears

James Head-Mears is a Spatial Information Specialist at Hydro Tasmania since December 2019, focusing on the development and implementation of emerging Spatial Information needs for the organization. Previously, James served as a Spatial Data Analyst at Entura and held roles as a Surveyor & Geomatics Consultant at Lester Franks. Academic qualifications include a Master of Human Interface Technology with a focus on Human Computer Interaction from the University of Canterbury, and a Bachelor of Surveying and Spatial Sciences with Honors from the University of Tasmania, which also awarded a Bachelor of Surveying and Spatial Sciences. Additionally, experience as a Teaching & Research Assistant involved co-teaching and research related to biofouling surface roughness in high-flow water pipes for Hydro Tasmania.
