Tom Goddard

Tom Goddard is an experienced Generation Dispatch Engineer at Hydro Tasmania, where responsibilities include remotely monitoring power stations and developing trading strategies for hydroelectricity delivery to the National Electricity Market. Currently training to become a Generation Controller, Tom has also held roles such as Project Manager (Secondment), contributing to Hydro Tasmania’s commercial operations and project management initiatives. Previously, as a Mechanical Engineer, Tom worked on significant refurbishment projects, including the Wilmot Power Station. Tom's early career includes roles as a Project Engineer at Monadelphous focused on water infrastructure and as a Junior Engineering Consultant at 2XE, specializing in energy audits. Tom began as an Engineering Intern at 2XE and was also an elite athlete in mountain biking, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills. Tom holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering and Sports Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
