Chong Kiat Ng

Chong Kiat Ng, P.Eng has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy sector. Chong Kiat began their career at Manitoba Hydro, where they worked as a Design Engineer and later became the Transmission Line Design Section Head. In these roles, they designed high-voltage AC and DC transmission lines and developed engineering standards.

Ng then joined Hydro One, where they held various leadership positions. Chong Kiat served as the Lines Engineering Manager and later became the Transmission Engineering Manager, overseeing the maintenance of transmission assets including substations, overhead lines, and underground cables. Chong Kiat also served as the Director of Transmission Asset Management, responsible for sustaining these assets and managing a significant budget.

In their most recent position at Hydro One, Ng served as the Director of Station Services. In this role, they led a multi-disciplinary team in maintaining transmission substations and ensuring worker safety. Chong Kiat also managed emergency system restoration, operating spares, commissioning assets, and delivering work programs.
