Alex Johnstone is the current Chief Investment Officer at Hydro66 and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Hydro66, Alex was the Vice President of Active Credit Portfolio Management at Santander Global Corporate Banking and the Director of Structured Credit Trading at Erste Group Bank AG. In these roles, Alex was responsible for managing credit portfolios, developing credit trading strategies, and executing trades on behalf of the bank. In 2007, Alex became the Head of European Syndicate at Banco Santander, where they were responsible for managing a team of syndicate bankers and traders. From 1994 to 2007, Alex worked as a Senior Credit Trader at Abbey National Treasury Services, where they were responsible for trading a variety of credit products.

Alex Johnstone has a type of Chemistry and Management Studies from the University of Leeds. Alex has a certification from the CFA Institute in their CE Program 5 Year Milestone.
