Brent Long

Brent Long is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background in various industries. Brent has held positions at Hydrobuilder Holdings, HopeHealth, Inc., McLeod Health, Little River Medical Center, WMBF News/Raycom Media, WBTW/Media General, and New South Companies/Canfor.

At Hydrobuilder Holdings, Brent currently serves as the Director of IT Infrastructure. Brent leads a national IT team and supports nationwide physical locations and a geographically diverse remote administrative and executive workforce. At McLeod Health, Brent held multiple roles including Senior Client/Server Network Analyst and Senior Network Analyst. Brent provided L3 client/server administration, project management, and team leadership to hospitals and staff in South Carolina. Brent also managed infrastructure, backup, and application servers, and implemented projects such as a historical medical records retention database server.

Brent also served as a Systems Administrator at Little River Medical Center, where they administered and supported a mixed server infrastructure farm and cisco-based network infrastructure. Brent worked closely with C-level leadership on key projects and company initiatives.

In their previous positions at WMBF News/Raycom Media and WBTW/Media General, Brent managed the IT departments and oversaw IT infrastructure and software research, purchasing, and maintenance. Brent also created disaster recovery plans, implemented system failover solutions, and established IT common practices and standards.

Earlier in their career, Brent worked as an Infrastructure Engineer at New South Companies/Canfor, where they supported and maintained end-user equipment, data networks, automation hardware, and server infrastructure.

Brent Long has a comprehensive education history. Brent obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on IT Management from Western Governors University in 2024. In 2022, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management from Coker University. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) in Business Administration from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in 2021. Their earliest degree is a Computer Science and Information Systems degree from Youngstown State University, which they completed from 2001 to 2003. Additionally, they have several certifications, including a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Francis Marion University and various applied science certificates from Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Brent also completed certifications in Create a Subnet and Manage a Network Infrastructure from Cybrary in 2018.
