Laura Burke has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Laura is currently working as the Director of Account & Project Management at Hydrogen Advertising since January 2021. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2018, Laura worked as a Program Coordinator at The Center for Educational Leadership, where they planned and managed educational events and served as a member of the marketing team. From 2012 to 2013, they were an Office Manager at Junior League of Seattle, where they provided support to a non-profit women's organization. Laura also worked as a Marketing Manager at Smilebox from 2007 to 2008, where they helped launch and maintain a loyalty program and managed community marketing events. Before that, they held the position of Account Director at Sedgwick Rd., a part of McCann Worldgroup, from 2004 to 2006, where they led anti-tobacco campaigns and managed brand development projects. Laura also has experience as an Account Executive at Foote, Cone & Belding, working on marketing projects for Noble House Hotels and Resorts in 2004. Laura served as an Account Executive at Stanaszek Goodwin Design Partnership (SGDP) from 2002 to 2003, and as an Account Manager at THINK Inc. from 2000 to 2001. Laura began their career as a Senior Center Director at SCORE! Educational Centers from 1997 to 1999, where they managed a large multi-program center.
Laura Burke attended the University of Virginia from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. During their time at the same university, they also earned another Bachelor of Arts degree, this time in Psychology.
In terms of additional certifications, Laura has acquired various qualifications. In October 2020, they completed courses such as "Agile Project Management: Comparing Agile Tools," "Agile at Work: Reporting with Agile Charts and Boards," "Learning Microsoft Project," "Microsoft Teams Essential Training," and "Project Management for Creative Projects," all offered by LinkedIn. In September 2020, Laura obtained certifications in "Agile Foundations," "Agile at Work: Building Your Agile Team," "Agile at Work: Driving Productive Agile Meetings," "Agile at Work: Getting Better with Agile Retrospectives," "Agile at Work: Planning with Agile User Stories," and "Transitioning from Waterfall to Agile Project Management," all from LinkedIn as well. Additionally, in July 2020, they completed the "Social Media Marketing Foundations" course provided by LinkedIn, and in June 2020, Laura acquired the "Visio 2019 Essential Training" certification from LinkedIn. Lastly, in June 2020, they completed the "Google Analytics Academy for Beginners" course offered by Google Analytics for Business.
