John Mulholland is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in systems engineering, technology, and sustainability. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at USN since August 2017, John lectures on design for life, supportability, sustainability, logistics, and autonomy. As a Board Member at ICBRG and a Subject Matter Expert at MIT Horizon, John focuses on advancing technology and sustainability initiatives. In their role as Director at Fathom Robotics, John leads the development of innovative subsea communication solutions and autonomous underwater vehicles in collaboration with Hydromea. Previously, John held positions such as R&D Manager at Optime Subsea and CTO at LIGHTCIRCLE OF NORWAY while also contributing as a Non-Executive Director at WiSub. John’s earlier experience includes a decade at FMC Technologies, focusing on next-generation developments and business process efficiencies. John holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.
