Mya Weisman

Mya Weisman is an accomplished Engineering Manager and software engineer with extensive experience in the tech industry since 2007. Currently at Planet since September 2015, Mya has held various positions, including Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer. Prior experience includes work at Boundless (formerly OpenGeo), where Mya developed key software solutions such as the branded all-in-one QGIS app for OS X and managed the release process for the OpenGeo Suite. Additional roles include Developer positions at Urban Mapping and Personal Projects, as well as a Professional Services role at Safe Software, where Mya facilitated communication between customers and developers. Early career experience includes a research assistantship at the University of British Columbia, focused on GIS data management and python programming in a transit accessibility study. Mya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from The University of British Columbia.
