Nick Jackowetz, PhD has extensive experience spanning over 14 years in various scientific roles. Nick is currently the Chief Scientific Officer at Hydrosome Labs LLC, where they co-discovered and leads the scientific team towards commercializing a new water processing technology. In their previous role as Chief Scientific Officer at Cirona Labs, they worked for three years. Prior to this, they worked as a Formulation Advisor at Canopy Growth Corporation for a year. Their longest work tenure was at Constellation Brands, where they worked for seven years in various roles, including Product Development Manager and Senior Product Development Specialist. Nick also worked as a PhD Candidate and Teaching Assistant at Cornell University and as a Student Laboratory Technician and Student Research Technician at the University of Guelph. Their research interests include alcoholic beverages, enology, and limiting the use of sulfites for commercial winemaking operations.
Nick Jackowetz, PhD received their B.Sc in Biomedical Toxicology from the University of Guelph in 2007. Nick went on to attend Cornell University from 2007 to 2011 where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Food Science. In 2013, Nick obtained their Level 3 Advanced Certification in Wine and Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
