Michelle Ruiz

Michelle Ruiz is the CEO and Founder of Hyfé, an innovative company focused on transforming plant waste into valuable chemicals, promoting alternatives to petroleum-based products. With a robust background at ExxonMobil, Michelle held various engineering roles, including Project Start Up Engineer, where responsibilities included overseeing a $250 million capital investment and implementing safety and reliability strategies. Additional positions at ExxonMobil involved improving water treatment systems and leading wastewater treatment operations, generating significant cost savings through environmental initiatives. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, awarded in 2014.
