Tim is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries with over ten years’ pensions experience. He works with a number of schemes of varying size and structure, ranging from sub £10m to £2bn. His role is to help trustees of pension schemes understand the risks that they are taking, ensuring that they are proportional and expected to add value. As well as providing funding and strategic advice, Tim also has specific experience in supporting trustees through corporate transactions. Tim’s approach is highly collaborative, with extensive experience in aligning trustee and corporate objectives for the long term. As a holder of a Scheme Actuary certificate, he takes up this role across a number of schemes.
Part of Tim’s role is also to guide clients through risk transfer projects; supporting both trustees and sponsors to determine whether buy-ins, buy-outs, or longevity swaps are right for them, and subsequently working with them to deliver a successful outcome for all parties.
