Simon Ban

Director Of Planning And Data Analysis at Hyosung Innovue Americas

Simon Ban has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Simon started their career at Samsung Mobile in 2005, where they worked as a Mobile Design Engineer in the Global R&D Group. Simon was responsible for designing mobile circuits and collaborating with Philips NXP for 3G solution development. Simon also partnered with carriers to develop industry standards for the 3rd generation of mobile phones.

In 2009, Simon was promoted to the role of Manager in Global Retail Operations. Simon led the retail empowerment project, managing resource allocation, dealer programs, store mapping, and store openings in multiple regions. Simon was also assigned to develop an open market strategy for Guangdong province in China, including the establishment of dealer incentive programs, retail investment, and new field organization setup.

In 2012, Simon joined Samsung Electronics America as the Director of Business Planning and Operations. Simon focused on mobile go-to-market strategies for Samsung's U.S. subsidiary, leveraging their prior Samsung global experience. Simon successfully led the business planning and operations for mobile activities.

In 2018, Simon transitioned to Group O as the Director of Business Planning and Warehousing Management. Simon managed ongoing operations and led business planning, financial analysis, and strategy for mobile service solutions activities. This involved overseeing incentive marketing, supply chain, packaging, mobile device lifecycle management, retail fulfillment/logistics management, and custom packaging.

Currently, Simon works at Hyosung America as the Director of Planning and Data Analysis.

Simon Ban earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hanyang University from 1998 to 2005.
