Dr. Ksenia M. Soboleva currently serves as the Andrew W. Mellon Gender and LGBTQ+ History Fellow at the New-York Historical Society since January 2022. In addition to this role, Soboleva has been a contributing writer for The Brooklyn Rail and Hyperallergic since 2020 and 2018, respectively. Previously, Soboleva was the Marica and Jan Vilcek Curatorial Fellow at the Guggenheim Museum from September 2020 to September 2021. Soboleva holds a PhD in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from The Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, completed in August 2021, and a Master's degree from the same institution. Soboleva's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree from Utrecht University, and notable teaching experiences include serving as a recitation leader and adjunct instructor at NYU and The Cooper Union, respectively.
