Jeff Ortakales

Jeff Ortakales has extensive experience in mechanical engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Project Manager at Hypertherm Associates since October 2012, Jeff leads new product development projects for the Light Industrial business team. Prior roles at Hypertherm include Senior Staff Design Engineer, Staff Design Engineer, and Mechanical Design Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed the mechanical design and packaging of industrial plasma cutters using SolidWorks. Jeff also operates Fulcrum Design, a small business specializing in custom automotive parts and tool accessories. Previous experience includes roles as a Mechanical Engineer at Electric Boat, Engineering Intern at Xemed LLC, DEKA Research & Development, BAE Systems, and Aavid Thermalloy, as well as a Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire. Jeff holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
