Nemanja Babić

Software QA Team Lead at Hypertherm

Nemanja Babić has a diverse work experience in the field of software and robotics. Nemanja started their career at Technische Universität Darmstadt as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in 2014. In 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at both University of Ottawa and INSA de Lyon - Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Lyon. At University of Ottawa, they also served as a Mechanical Engineer and an Undergraduate Research Leader.

In 2017, Nemanja joined Tyto Robotics Inc. as a Robotics Developer, where they implemented Internet Protocols and developed modules for robot communication and position tracking. Nemanja then transitioned to Hypertherm, where they held various roles including Software Application Engineer, Senior Software Application Engineer, Software Project Manager, and currently, Software QA Team Lead.

Throughout their career, Nemanja has gained expertise in a wide range of technologies, programming languages, and software tools such as C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Unity, ROS/Gazebo, and Linux/Ubuntu. Nemanja'sexperience also includes hardware integration.

Nemanja Babić holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Management (MEM) from the University of Ottawa, which they obtained from 2021 to 2024. Nemanja also has a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Mechanical Engineering and Computing Technology from the University of Ottawa, completed from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, Nemanja has a Certificate in User Experience Design (UXD) from the University of Toronto, earned between 2019 and 2021. Nemanja has obtained various certifications, including Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Analyst from ISTQB, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, Certified Tester, Foundation Level from ISTQB, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from Project Management Institute, Robot Operations and Programming (TPEB) from FANUC Europe, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute.
