John DeStefano is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in health information technology and interoperability. Currently serving as Chief Platform Architect at Hyphen since February 2014, John has been instrumental in developing a cloud native platform that fosters enhanced collaboration between payers and providers, employing a microservice architecture and event-driven design. Previously, John held roles such as Director of Innovation and HIE, where expertise in health data interoperability and infrastructure design was leveraged to advance the state-managed health information exchange practice. Additionally, John has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at both the University of New Haven and Sacred Heart University, teaching courses related to health data analysis and healthcare information exchange. With a background that includes serving as CTO at HITE-CT and ITS Director of Interoperability at Hartford Healthcare, John holds an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut.
