Jon Skelly

Jon Skelly is an experienced materials engineering professional with a diverse background spanning multiple sectors, including automotive, aerospace, and telecommunications. Currently serving as the Material Engineering Department Manager at Hyundai Kia America Technical Center, Inc. since 2015, Jon leads teams focused on sustainability, technology development, cost reduction, and quality improvement across various materials. Prior roles include Technical Manager at Taconic, where Jon focused on dielectric composite materials, Patent Agent/Technology Specialist at Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts LLP, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Visteon, specializing in automotive manufacturing processes. Jon began the career as a Materials Engineer at Ford Motor Company, where responsibilities included production troubleshooting and compliance management. Jon holds a PhD in Chemistry from Duke University.
