Rob Gibbs

Rob Gibbs is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in design and development of closures and structures across various automotive manufacturers. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Engineering Design Closures at Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. since April 2023, Rob previously held several senior management roles at Rivian, where responsibilities included leading product ramp initiatives and overseeing the design and development of closures for the R1T and R1S models. Rob's career also spans over two decades at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, focusing on closures engineering from development to launch, along with previous roles at D.E.C.S, Penbarley Designs, and Ashfen. Rob Gibbs holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bedfordshire.
