Simon Loasby

Simon Loasby is an accomplished design professional currently serving as the Head of Hyundai Design Center and Head of Hyundai Style Group at Hyundai Motor Group since May 2019. Previously, Simon held the position of Executive Director and Head of Design at Hyundai Motor Group (China) from June 2017 to April 2019. Simon's extensive experience includes serving as Design Director for Volkswagen Group China from February 2008 to June 2017, where Simon focused on research, design, and innovation across joint venture design teams. Earlier career roles included positions at Volkswagen AG as a Designer and Senior Designer from October 2001 to January 2008, and at Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars from September 1991 to September 2001 as Lead Designer and Manager. Simon holds a Master of Design in Vehicle Design from the Royal College of Art and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of London: Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine.
