Jinyong Luo

Jinyong Luo is a highly experienced engineer specializing in fuel cell systems, currently serving as Sr Manager Fuel Cell System Engineering at Hyzon since July 2022. In this role, Jinyong oversees the 200kW PEM fuel cell system, manages technical data, develops GT simulations, and supports system integration into vehicle platforms. Prior to this, Jinyong worked at Cummins Inc. for nearly a decade, progressing through various positions including Fuel Cell Senior Technical Specialist and Catalyst Technology Senior Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed project leadership in simulation tool validation, design and assembly of testing rigs, and the development of aging transfer functions. Jinyong's early career included postdoctoral research roles at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the University of Waterloo, focusing on catalyst synthesis and performance testing, with a substantial number of published technical papers throughout the career. Jinyong holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University.
