Justin Yee

Justin Yee has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Justin currently holds the position of Vice President Vehicle Engineering at Hyzon Motors since September 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Vehicle Platform Director at the same company from August to September 2022. Before joining Hyzon Motors, Justin worked as the Director of Advanced Vehicle Engineering at Xos Trucks from June 2021 to June 2022. Justin also had a significant tenure at Daimler Trucks North America, where they held various managerial positions related to eMobility, vehicle concepts, and advanced engineering between 2003 and 2021. Justin started their career as a Project Engineer at Micro Power Electronics from March 1995 to August 1998 and then worked as a Lead Sr. Design Engineer at NEC Eluminant Technologies from 1998 to 2003.

Justin Yee holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Portland State University, which was obtained from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, completing it from 1989 to 1993. In terms of certifications, they are a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, certified by the State of Oregon in 2008. Justin also holds the title of Certified Functional Safety Professional, attained from UL in November 2020.
