Shinichi Hirano

Shinichi Hirano joined Hyzon Motors in May 2021 and is based in Michigan. A 30-year veteran of the Automotive Fuel Cell Techrnology, he brings decades of expertise - including 17 years in a leadership role at the Ford Motor Company. Shinichi also led the Ford-Daimler fuel cell alliance, and USDRIVE/USCAR Fuel Cell Teams in partnership with the US Department of Energy. Prior to his tenure at Ford, which began in 2003, Shinichi commenced his professional carrier at Mazda Motor Corporation where he led various research projects, including the Mazda Demio (Mazda 2).
