Dr. Rajko Buchwald

Dr. Rajko Buchwald currently serves as the Deputy Manager of the Innovation Platform Hi-Acts at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), leading the Technology Labs & Cooperations segment with responsibilities in strategy, performance monitoring, and stakeholder management. Previously, Dr. Buchwald held the position of Technology Transfer Officer, managing technology transfer for physical institutes and facilitating collaboration among industry, academia, and administration. Prior roles include Manager of Application Engineering at Precision Surfacing Solutions and Meyer Burger Technology AG, where expertise was developed in wafering processes and team leadership. Earlier experience includes serving as Deputy Manager of Application Engineering and Head of the wafer technology group at Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, focusing on technological and process development. Dr. Buchwald holds a Ph.D. and a degree in applied natural sciences from TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
