Evgeny Nikitin is a Scientific Researcher at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) since October 2013, actively involved in HORIZON Europe and HORIZON 2020 projects, focusing on safety and innovative monitoring in nuclear engineering. Previously, Evgeny served as a Researcher PhD Student, working on methodologies for homogenized cross-section generation and thermal expansion models for realistic SFR cores. Earlier experience includes an internship at HZDR in 2012. Evgeny holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nuclear Engineering from EPFL, a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics with a focus on Nuclear Techniques from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Physics from the same institution.
