Stan Oome

Stan Oome is a Program Leader in Molecular Biology at HZPC, where leadership involves overseeing the Molecular Biology team, developing genetic markers, and ensuring proper experimental setups since October 2019. Previously, Stan was the owner of Genoome, specializing in polyploid crop genomics, and served as a Senior Scientist and Assistant Research Manager at Averis Seeds B.V., focusing on genetic marker development utilizing potato sequencing data. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Utrecht University and various degrees in management and biotechnology from institutions such as Wageningen University and Nyenrode Business University. Stan's diverse experience encompasses internships and significant research contributions in phytopathology and polyploid genomics.
