I Am Perspective
Nusrat Alam is an experienced community leader and civic engagement advocate currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at I Am Perspective since December 2017, where significant initiatives to empower BIPOC communities and promote voter registration have been achieved. As a Leadership Coach, Nusrat focuses on helping individuals clarify and reach personal and professional objectives. In addition, Nusrat has served as a Judicial Delegate for New York State's 24th Assembly District, ensuring equitable candidate selection for local courts, and held various positions in organizations such as the American Bengali Creative Designs and the New York City Housing Authority. Nusrat's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History from Stony Brook University.

Rooted in the rich diversity of Queens, NY, IAP is a trusted platform where diverse voices and stories come together to foster understanding, connection, and meaningful dialogue. Since 2017, we’ve hosted over 300 impactful events across schools, workplaces, and communities, collaborating with esteemed organizations like Old Pal, lululemon, and Recoup-NY. Through our workshops, curated conversations, and training programs, we tackle critical topics including identity, race, gender, culture, and socioeconomic experiences, empowering individuals to see beyond stereotypes and challenge divisive narratives. At IAP, we don’t just facilitate conversations—we drive change. Our mission is to reimagine what unity looks like in today’s world by celebrating perspectives, breaking barriers, and creating actionable pathways for equity and justice.
