Miranda Loh has extensive experience in the field of occupational and environmental health. Miranda is currently the Director of Scientific Growth, Engagement, and Innovation at the Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM), where they lead the Growth and Innovation team and sets the scientific direction of the organization. Miranda has been with the IOM since 2014 and has held various roles, including Director of Science and Engagement and Head of Environment and Public Health, where they led business development for research on air pollution exposures and managed projects on environment and health.

Prior to joining the IOM, Miranda worked at the University of Manchester as an Honorary Senior Lecturer starting in 2019. Additionally, Miranda has international experience, having worked at Chemonics International Inc as a Project Assistant, providing administrative and technical support for an air improvement project in Cairo, Egypt.

Miranda Loh completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Human Biology from Stanford University in 1997. Miranda then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Environmental Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 2000 to 2002. Later, they obtained a Sc.D. degree in Environmental Health from the same institution, completing their studies from 2002 to 2006.
