Yvonne Nelson

Yvonne Nelson has over 17 years of work experience in program and project management roles. Yvonne is currently working as a Program Manager at IT Concepts, Inc. Yvonne joined this company in November 2021.

Prior to this, Yvonne worked at OBXtek from 2018 to 2021 as a Program Manager for Engineering Support Services IT Operations and Security contract. Yvonne oversaw all areas of the contract, providing technical support throughout SSA's Computer Centers.

From 2017 to 2018, Yvonne worked as a Project Manager at Edwards Performance Solutions, where they supported the Oncology Care model for CMS\CMMI. Yvonne'stasks included schedule creation and management, risk assessment, subcontractor monitoring, and project management support to individual work streams.

Before that, Yvonne worked at Maximus from 2014 to 2017 as a Senior Project Manager. Yvonne was responsible for overseeing all areas of subcontract management for the Development Effort and Consolidation Contract, as well as the End Stage Renal Disease Quality Reporting System, both of which provided healthcare quality support to CMS' Center for Clinical Standards and Quality.

Yvonne also has experience working at OBXtek and Apptis (now part of URS Corporation) in associate project and program management roles. Yvonne started their career at Apptis in 2004 as a Software & Laptop Support Manager and worked their way up to become an Associate Program Manager before joining OBXtek in 2009.

Yvonne Nelson's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, General from the University of Baltimore, which they obtained between 1983 and 1985. In 2006 and 2007, they attended Villa Julie College, where they completed 15 credits in Business & Technology Management. In 2009, Yvonne Nelson studied Medical Terminology and Fundamentals of Health IT at the Community College of Baltimore County. From 2013 to 2016, they pursued online courses at Villanova University, specializing in Government Contracting Essentials, Advanced Contracting, and Strategic Project Management.

In addition to their academic achievements, Yvonne Nelson also obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2010.
